LGBTQ+ Patients

Research shows that LGBTQ+ people experience a number of health inequalities and barriers to healthcare compared to their hetero and cisgender counterparts. The Stonewall Charity reports that LGBTQ+ people experienced increased rates of smoking, substance misuse, alcohol consumption, poorer mental health. People with multiple protected characteristics e.g. LGBTQ+ people of colour, disabled LGBTQ+ people, older LGBTQ+ people have additional challenges and poorer outcomes in relation to healthcare.

We pride ourselves in being a friendly, inclusive and supportive Practice for all LGBTQ+ patients and are very proud to of been awarded a GOLD in the Pride and Practice.

We are aware that our website can be a useful resource for LGBTQ+ people. With this in mind, we have put together a list of local groups, websites and community support that may be useful for our LGBTQ+ patients.
